For the 1911 fans Springfield Armory came out with the Ronin.  The Ronin is priced very reasonably for a really nice 1911.  The Ronin comes in a 5" model and a 4.25" version.  The Ronon's come in a 9mm, 45 ACP., and a 10mm.  Check out Springfield Armorys page for more details.  This is an awesome first 1911.
